ODS Service - Bing

Bing

Bing, Microsoft's search engine, is widely used to find information online. Search results can also cause problems: illegal content, sites spreading disinformation, links to harmful or misleading material, non-transparent advertising, or indexed images and videos that infringe rights or contain material shared without permission.

You report this content to Microsoft first. If Microsoft does not act on your notice, or removes your content from the results or reduces its visibility, and Microsoft's internal complaint system did not change the decision, Article 21 of the Digital Services Act (DSA) lets you ask ADR Center, a body certified by AGCOM, for a free independent review through its ODS service. Independent experts examine Microsoft's decision and issue a non-binding decision.

Bing decisions you can have reviewed:

Results linking to illegal content, notified and left online

Sites with fake news or disinformation still shown after your notice

Misleading or non-transparent ads in sponsored results, notified and not removed

Indexed images or videos that infringe rights or contain harmful material, not removed after your notice

Links to fraudulent or phishing pages notified and left in the results

Notices about inappropriate content rejected or left unanswered

Digital platforms you can open a case about

Under the Digital Services Act (Article 21), you can ask for an independent review of a decision taken by an online platform, such as the removal of content or the suspension of an account, after filing an internal complaint with the platform. Here you will find the main digital platforms, from Amazon to Facebook and from TikTok to Booking, with clear information on how the process works.
