Snapchat is a widely used messaging app, especially among young people, for sharing photos, videos and everyday moments. Here too there are moderation decisions: on inappropriate or illegal content, and on accounts, which are sometimes suspended without a clear explanation.
If Snapchat suspended your account or removed your content, or did not act on a notice you sent it, and Snapchat's internal complaint system did not change the decision, Article 21 of the Digital Services Act (DSA) lets you ask ADR Center, a body certified by AGCOM, for a free independent review through its ODS service. Independent experts examine Snapchat's decision and issue a non-binding decision. Private messages between users and recovering a hacked account are outside this procedure.
Accounts suspended or blocked without clear reasons.
Illegal content left online after your notice (prohibited images, offensive or unlawful content).
Digital abuse or harassment in shared content, notified and left unanswered.
Poorly explained decisions on notices or suspensions: Snapchat does not clearly say what it decided and why.
